Penanda lainnya dari ciri Mughal ini terlihat pada wujud menara. Menara mesjid hal yang demikian merekat dengan bangunan induknya. Jumlah menara utama masjid ini ada dua. Masing-masing memiliki ketinggian mencapai 41 meter. Untuk mencapai posisi puncaknya, terdapat 130 si kecil tangga.
Dari posisi puncak menara itu, pandangan akan menonjol seperti itu lapang. Rentangan kota Old Delhi, benteng Red Fort di sudut utara, semua dapat terlihat tanpa halangan. Tidak heran pula jikalau mesjid ini dikenal dengan sebutan Masjid-i Jahanuma atau masjid yang menjadi perhatian dunia. Keindahan menara tersebut dilengkapi pula dengan ornamen berpola garis vertikal. Garis hal yang demikian memiliki warna putih dan merah bata yang saling berselang-seling. Pola pewarnaan putih-merah itu menjadi corak yang benar-benar dominan pada segala bangunan mesjid. Utamanya pada komponen eksterior.
Pada lokasi menuju pintu utama, terdapat pula menara dengan diameter lebih kecil. Menara ini hadir untuk menopang ruang berbentuk kotak. Bagian itu menjadi celah utama menuju gerbang mesjid. Pada bagian ini dihiasi pula dengan format lengkungan dengan ujungnya yang dijadikan menyatu dan melancip.
Di sebelah kiri dan kanan dari ruang kotak ini terdapat arcade atau semacam lorong. Bagian kolom penghubung antara komponen arcade ini memiliki pola lengkungan. Jarak antara lengkungan itu rata-rata selebar dua meter. Arcade hal yang demikian berfungsi sebagai akses menuju komponen mesjid dan halaman. Pada bagian langit-langit arcade ini juga dipenuhi ornamen geometris yang cantik.
Sementara itu, selasar atau teras ini saling terkait, mulai dari sisi sebelah timur, selatan, hingga utara. Hadirnya selasar itu memberikan kesan sejuk bagi setiap pelancong yang mengunjungi tempat tersebut.
